"Malaysians are very nice" - an Iranian

Assalamualaikum,

Back to our topic, errr... What is our topic? Oh, about the compliment given by an Iranian I met last semester. The story begins here.

Seorang. Ye, sesat, kau ingat UKM tu kecik? Gurau. Tapi saya rilek, saya cool, mantap, kacak dan bergaya. I'm just pretend to be nothing happen, well there's nothing really happened.

Duduk tunggu dekat bus stop tu, saya menunggu dengan seorang wanita Iran. She's an international student here. We talk a lot, she talk about Nasi Lemak, Teh Tarik, and so on. And she said Malaysia is really beautiful.

Then she add "Malaysians are very nice. I love Malaysians"

Yes, I'm moved by her praise. But I replied,

"Actually, it is not all Malaysians are nice, but you just happen to meet nice Malaysians"

She nodded in agreement. Well, you might said, I've messed up with Malaysia's reputation. I'm just being natural. Then, I add up,

"Well, being nice is not depends on your nationality. It is depends on your culture and the practice of the culture. I'm sure, Iranians are very nice though, but what will happen if I meet the bad one. It's looks like I'll come out saying Iranians are bad. Right?"

She nodded again.

Dan sedikit bergantung kepada agama, but still it depends on your practices in religious. That's why there still Muslim raper, Muslim killer, and so on. By that, are going to say Muslims are bad? Too? Is it fair?

Practices your religious, your good cultures and your knowledge as well. Just be natural. That's all.
Wallahua'lam.
